Eyebrows Create Facial Balance....PERIOD.

Eyebrows are the QUINTESSENTIAL thumbprint of the face. Without the shadows and light they create, your face will lack interest, dimension and character.

Your brow's arch should peak at the "slope-down point" of your forehead; the junction that begins to curve down into the temples. Each face is specific and should have it's own eyebrow blueprint. Eyebrows are NOT one size fits all, they are a unique statement, which creates interest and balance to the individual. Waxing or threading can compromise the brow's shape and integrity (not to mention skin damage caused by waxing the face). Brows should be manipulated precisely, one hair at a time.

Beauty Professionals MUST be Licensed'

LISTEN UP PEOPLE:

You need to make sure that, regardless of the beauty service you are receiving, your professional is FULLY LICENSED as per your State's requirements. This is a big deal! Miami is notorious for "garage procedures". Yes, you may be paying a heck of a lot less, HOWEVER, you are putting your health at risk!

Esthetic Laws are in place for a reason, which is to "protect the public" AS WELL AS the professional performing the service. Make-up application, Eyebrow Shaping , a Facial, Permanent Make-up, Nail Treatments and ALL beauty treatments & procedures in between (even PERSONAL TRAINING) REQUIRE a license!

Unless the business is applying make-up to your face with the INTENT TO SELL cosmetics, they CANNOT charge you a "make-up application fee" BY LAW. The establishment can, however, charge you for the make-up PRODUCTS for which you are sampling on your face. I didn't spend countless hours and thousands of dollars in training and certifications because I had nothing better to do with my time and money. There are universal precautions that need to be exercised regardless of the treatment! Something as seemingly insignificant as an "unwashed makeup brush" can lead to MRSA. Did you know that Hepatitis-C can live on almost ANY SURFACE for days? DAYS! Educate yourselves people! Licensed professionals have YOUR best interest in mind with regard to health & safety. Knowledge is power and you get what you pay for indeed. Ask questions and ask to see a copy of their current license.

Clean-Up that HAIRLINE with Laser & Electrolysis

If your hairline is upstaged by "baby hair", you may want to consider laser hair removal (followed up by Electrolysis for those remaining 5%).

Baby hair disrupts the line and creates shadows where you don't want them. A clean hairline will showcase and properly frame the face without any interference.

Eyebrow MOLE: friend or foe?

If you have a mole sitting on your eyebrow line, you need to embrace it. Having a mole removed can create scar tissue which may render the area hairless, thus causing even more esthetic issues.

Make lemonade out of lemons and embrace the mole as a unique and distinct focal point. The photo shows my client's mole smack dab on her arch. Rather than remove the hairs around it, which would compromise the integrity of the brow line, simply fill the brow-line in with pigment and incorporate the mark. Sometimes a flaw can be beautiful, especially when you make it the star of the show.

Respect the Brow!

BROW TIP #1:
A well shaped brow balances the face. A deformed one negates all the effort.

BROW TIP #2:
Esthetic imbalance is no joke, so don't be the butt if one. It's ok to experiment with makeup colors and hair accessories. It's not ok to transform your brows into an imbalanced caricature.

Brows are the Quintessential Beauty Thumbprint
